Third Party Website links

TGS provides links to many Third Party Websites. The Commonwealth of Australia:

  • is not liable for Third Party Websites;

  • does not control Third Party Websites;

  • makes no depiction of the intellectual property rights for Third Party Website content;

  • does not endorse Third Party Websites and Third Party Content or any organisation, product or service associated with those third parties; and

  • does not have the power to change any Third Party Websites.

Any access to Third Party Websites is carried out at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to read and comply with the terms of use or legal notices associated with those Third Party Websites. The onus is with you to consult your skill and judgement of any Third Party Websites to determine the relevance, applicability and accurateness of information.

Where TGS links to Third Party Websites, this has been determined to be relevant at the time of linking, however this content is not controlled by the Commonwealth of Australia and this content may change over time without knowledge of the Commonwealth of Australia. Furthermore, at the time of TGS being made publically available on 14 April 2021, links to Third Party Websites were functional. If you come across Third Party Website content that you believe is inappropriate for an education-based website, please contact the Department of Education on the following link: https://www.dese.gov.au/about-us/contact-us/education-online-contact-form

The Commonwealth of Australia endeavour to link to Third-Party Websites that are openly licensed for educational use (for example, licensed under a Creative Commons licence). However, some Third Party Websites may not be openly licensed for educational use. Copying and communicating material from those Third Party Websites by educational institutions may attract Copyright Agency fees under the Copyright Act (Cth). Copyright Agency fees are payable by the relevant State or Territory government. The Department and/or the Commonwealth is not liable or responsible for the payment of any fees in connection with your use of Third Party Content where such fees are payable.

The Department monitors the quality of the information available on TGS and notes that the information available on TGS is designed for use in the classroom in a teaching and learning context managed by educators. However, the Department does not make any representation or warranty about the accuracy, reliability, currency or completeness of any Content, Third Party Content, Third Party Website or any other information on TGS (together, referred to as Material).

While the Department makes every effort to ensure that the Material on TGS is accurate and up-to-date, you should exercise your own independent skill and judgement before you rely on it. TGS is not a substitute for independent professional advice and users should obtain any appropriate professional advice relevant to your particular circumstances.

By using and/or accessing TGS, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • the Commonwealth (which includes the Department) is not liable for any loss resulting from any action taken or reliance made by you on any information or Material on TGS;
  • your access and/or use TGS at your own risk;
  • the Commonwealth (which includes the Department) accepts no responsibility for any interference, loss, damage or disruption to your own computer system or any other device which arises in connection with your use of TGS and the Material on TGS; and
  • you must take your own precautions to ensure that the process which you employ to obtain access to TGS does not expose you to the risk of viruses, malicious computer code or other forms of interference which may damage your own computer system or device which you use to access and/or use TGS.
